About The Position

The Principal Software Engineer, Information Security, leads the design and implementation of secure, scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex security challenges, driving technical excellence, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position requires expertise in coding, solution design, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality, maintainable products. The engineer will guide development practices, oversee testing and defect management, and promote continuous improvement to safeguard information assets while supporting organizational goals. The AI Security Team designs and maintains advanced security frameworks to protect AI-driven assets across the enterprise. They focus on mitigating risks associated with Generative AI and Agentic Workflows, addressing challenges like prompt injection and model supply chain management. Leveraging expertise in systems engineering, cloud migration, continuous integration, and software development, the team builds secure, scalable infrastructure. Their proactive approach strengthens defenses against emerging threats, enabling innovative AI solutions while safeguarding critical organizational resources.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on information security and scalable solution design.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python and familiarity with frameworks and platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, including identification, engagement, and communication to align technical and business goals.
  • Proven ability to lead and guide teams on coding standards, security best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business requirements, perform root cause analysis, and drive defect management processes.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting to enhance software delivery and quality.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into functional, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
  • OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices
  • Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
