The Digital Engineering Methods, Process & Adoption Software Solution team is on a mission to drive digital transformation to Collins Aerospace. This is the PERFECT position for a Principal level Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps, AI, Technical Communication, and Training Facilitator to help bring those two together as part of our digital technology transformation. Someone who can serve as the focal subject matter expert in all aspects related to Software Solution Deployment, Adoption, and Training. Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Practical experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of certification.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
- Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
Nice To Haves
- Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
- Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with AI technology for automation enhancements.
- Experience in detailed technical writing for solution adopters.
- Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of solution deployment training documentation.
- Lead the facilitation of solution training events for various adoption participants.
- Set-up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
- Leverage AI in the improvement and innovation of our deployment activities (user guide, training, metrics, feedback, triage support, etc.).
- Work across teams and departments to enable rapid onboarding of the Cert DevOps technology.
- Mentor, train and onboard teammates.
- Be a self-starter, able to multitask and manage unplanned events.
- Use organizational skills to keep track of everything.
- Use effective communication skills to keep engineering peers, leadership and customers up to date.
- Use problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills to support the team mission.
