As a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test Lead, you will develop automation for testing microservices in the cloud.

Requirements

12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
Understanding of modern testing methodologies.
Deep expertise in Python, Pytest, and best practices for testing microservices.
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Github Actions, and SaltStack.
Good Linux fundamentals, especially around performance tuning.
Comfortable with Bash and scripting fundamentals and with containerization, such as Docker.
Good network fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).

Responsibilities

Working with engineering teams to identify how to test proposed changes.
Developing and maintain automated test frameworks and test pipelines, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
Creating and maintaining test plans and test cases for our compute services, ensuring they cover all relevant scenarios and edge cases.
Writing and maintaining scripts to automate deployments, migrations and rollbacks.
Investigating and troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes and providing recommendations for solutions.
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to juniors, promoting best practices and ensuring that quality standards are met.
