About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Law and Global Compliance Organization is seeking a highly skilled Principal Senior Investigator (PSI) to provide investigative support primarily in North Charleston, SC, and while East Coast support is preferable, the position may be based at any of the Boeing locations listed below. The selected candidate will be required to regularly travel to meet business needs. This position can be located in Everett, WA; Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Seal Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Berkeley, MO; San Antonio, TX; Huntsville, AL; Oklahoma City, OK; North Charleston, SC or Ridley Park, PA. In this critical role, the PSI will lead complex internal investigations into employee misconduct, demonstrating expertise at the highest level of investigative complexity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive investigations with discretion and professionalism. This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed areas. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. The selected candidate must be able to respond to their assigned work location in a timely manner to address exigent business needs. Some travel to other work locations may also be required. This role may require exposure to sensitive and/or potentially offensive materials (including but not limited to images, video, and case details) as part of our investigative work. Boeing has support mechanisms in place to assist teammates with this type of work and any potential effects. Candidates should be capable of handling such content as part of their work duties, and doing so in a professional and objective manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience conducting complex investigations and managing the investigative process to include conducting interviews, collecting data and facts, preparing concise and accurate reports, and analyzing data to identify trends and/or discrepancies
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Experience conducting investigations utilizing established Boeing Corporate Investigations processes
  • Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Certification, and/or other ethics and compliance certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute complex investigative plans and coordinate with key stakeholders.
  • Gather physical, electronic, and testimonial evidence.
  • Analyze data, make credibility assessments, draw conclusions, and draft first-pass quality reports summarizing investigative findings and analysis.
  • Conduct significant, highly sensitive, and high-profile investigations and/or oversee quality review and execution of investigations and case management activities at an enterprise level.
  • Execute and/or oversee case prioritization and efficient use of investigative resources to enhance investigator productivity.
  • Brief stakeholders (e.g., Reporting Party, Legal, Human Resources, Management, Ethics) periodically on case status and relevant findings on a need-to-know basis, as determined by investigation sensitivity or Boeing Law Department mandates.
  • Strengthen investigative partnerships with Ethics, Human Resources, Law, Quality, Safety, and other departments through alignment and understanding of joint investigations.
  • Support the Company’s anti-retaliation efforts by identifying and investigating retaliatory behaviors and reassuring investigative participants of anti-retaliation protections.
  • Oversee data collection and analysis, recommend operational and risk mitigation improvements to leadership, and support implementation of these improvements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) related matters, including but not limited to Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and related compliance requirements.
  • Mentor and train other investigators to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Create and present specialized training content to the Corporate Investigations team and partners/stakeholders.
  • Assist in risk mitigation by identifying potential remediation opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
