About The Position

EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a privately-held, next-generation immuno-oncology company pioneering a new class of T cell engager therapies to transform cancer patient outcomes compared to current immunotherapies. Our first-in-category biotherapeutic EVOLVE platform utilizes integrated T cell costimulation to directly target tumor cells to deliver durable anti-tumor adaptive immune responses. Our lead asset, EVOLVE104, entered clinical trials in late 2025. Additional collaboration pipeline programs (with Abbvie) and wholly owned programs are progressing toward candidate nomination. EvolveImmune’s team consists of ~50 FTEs in R&D, business development, people & culture, finance and operations. Our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 20,000+ square foot laboratory and office space located in the New Haven, CT biotechnology corridor is convenient to the amenities of the Connecticut shoreline, the city of New Haven and easy travel options throughout the Boston/New York City corridor. We’re hiring a Principal Scientist to join our collaborative Translational Sciences team focused on designing and advancing first-in-class immune-engaging biologics. This is a hands-on, lab-based role where your contributions directly shape the next generation of immunotherapy. Requirements

  • PhD in immunology or a related fields with 5+ years of postdoctoral and/or industry experience.
  • Patient focused - dedication to enabling translation of preclinical research into impactful human therapies.
  • Proven track record in cellular immunology in translational setting demonstrating technical expertise in immune assays and primary cell cultures.
  • Capable of clarifying problems and working in collaboration with team members to identify solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in immune-assay development and expertise in human immunology and T cell immunobiology are required.
  • Experience in the field of immune-oncology and large data analytics is a plus.
  • Evidence for a track record of scientific and/or project achievements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute translational immunology research to support IND enabling activities and phase I clinical studies in oncology.
  • Design and conduct in vitro studies with an emphasis on immunological testing of human and animal samples using state-of-the-art techniques including immune cell functional assays, multi-parameter FACS including BD and Cytek instruments, cell separation, multiplex assays, cell toxicity, proliferation.
  • Perform immune-monitoring related experiments of mouse and clinical samples (tumor, whole blood, PBMC, sera, etc.).
  • Provide scientific input to optimize project progression.
  • Maintain records of experiments in electronic notebooks, analyze data and prepare presentations.
  • Deliver clear, concise presentations at portfolio and project meetings to enable organizational alignment.
  • Support the authoring of essential internal and regulatory documents.
  • Partner with Immunobiology, Biotherapeutics and Translational Science teams to ensure proactive sharing of scientific know-how across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols.
