About The Position
Parexel FSP is seeking a full-time Principal Scientist - Purification Chemist to work onsite at one of our clients in Rahway, NJ. This role is within the Analytical Enabling Capability department, focusing on executing the purification of API, reaction products, process intermediates, byproducts, or impurities in an R&D laboratory. The position requires applying knowledge and skillsets in chromatography, organic chemistry, or biochemistry.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- Relevant experience in chromatographic purification
- Experience in semi-preparative/preparative chromatographic purification from recent industry experience
- Background in the separation of multicomponent mixtures
- Strong laboratory skills
- Strong chromatographic skills
- Strong wet chemistry skills
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Principal Scientist I: PhD < 1 year experience; MS with 3+ years; BS with 7+ years
- Principal Scientist II: PhD > 1 year experience; MS with 5+ years; BS with 10+ years
- Principal Scientist III: PhD with 3+ years of experience, MS with 7+ years; BS with 12+ years
Responsibilities
- Execute the purification of API, reaction products, process intermediates, byproducts, or impurities in an R&D laboratory.
- Apply knowledge and skillsets in chromatography, organic chemistry, or biochemistry to purification tasks.
- Support the development and delivery of new therapies by providing qualified and talented technical professionals.
