About The Position

Neomorph is seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Scientist / Associate Director to lead and expand our proteomics and mass spectrometry capabilities to support our molecular glue targeted protein degradation platform and pipeline. This individual will play a central role in scaling high-quality quantitative proteomics workflows to support discovery and translational research efforts as the company grows. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in modern LC-MS proteomics with a strong understanding of assay development, quantitative rigor, and platform growth. This role offers the opportunity to help shape Neomorph’s next-generation proteomics infrastructure, including new instrumentation, automated workflows, and future team growth, while partnering closely with teams across biology, translational sciences, chemistry, and computational biology.

Requirements

  • PhD in Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, or a related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience (Principal Scientist), or 10+ years of relevant experience (Assoc Dir)
  • Deep expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, including extensive hands-on experience with quantitative LC-MS/MS workflows and high-resolution mass spectrometry instrumentation
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing and implementing robust, reproducible, and scalable proteomics assays and workflows in biotech, pharmaceutical, or translational research environments
  • Strong understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of complex proteomics datasets
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and scientific problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing and applying DIA-based proteomics workflows
  • Experience with specialized proteomics approaches such as post-translational modification (PTM) profiling, interaction proteomics, or other specialized mass spectrometry workflows
  • Familiarity with laboratory automation, high-throughput workflows, and strategies to increase proteomics platform capacity and scalability
  • Experience with targeted mass spectrometry assay development for translational or clinical applications
  • Experience supporting targeted protein degradation or broader drug discovery programs
  • Prior experience contributing to proteomics platform expansion, instrumentation growth, or team development

Responsibilities

  • Lead the continued expansion and evolution of Neomorph’s mass spectrometry-based proteomics capabilities in support of our targeted protein degradation platform and discovery pipeline
  • Develop and scale advanced quantitative proteomics workflows with a focus on throughput, reproducibility, automation, and operational excellence
  • Drive implementation of new technologies, instrumentation, and proteomics approaches to expand platform capabilities and capacity
  • Partner cross-functionally with biology, translational sciences, chemistry, and computational teams to support discovery and translational research efforts
  • Contribute to scientific strategy, experimental design, data interpretation, and long-term platform development
  • Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the continued growth of Neomorph’s proteomics function
