The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is a leading global manufacturer, marketer, and seller of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products. This role serves as a key scientific contributor to multiple platforms within Advanced Technologies, which are leveraged by all our brands. The position involves developing novel methods, models, and strategies for claim support and the generation of scientific assets. The scientist will support ATP innovation with new concepts, technologies, testing, and communications to enhance formula efficacy and deliver innovations that strengthen ELC's market position. A significant part of the role includes inspiring the team towards a common vision, acting as a role model, and establishing scientific substantiation for innovative skin biology concepts applicable across all brands. The role also involves leading a junior scientist, providing scientific training, mentorship, and overseeing experimentation and data reporting. Collaboration with colleagues within the ATP community, clinical testing, legal/regulatory, and other R&I groups is essential to bring innovative technologies and associated claims to the brands. This includes developing new biological concepts, designing and executing scientific experiments, and reporting data in compliance with ELC standards of scientific rigor and regulatory/legal requirements. The scientist will manage multiple upstream platforms and pillars within the AT department, providing scientific guidance and executing projects aimed at delivering breakthrough technologies for corporate brand leverage. Additionally, the role includes developing PDP goals, evaluating performance, and providing feedback and career guidance to the direct team.
