This role provides discipline leadership within the Rotating engineering group by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects, participating in project execution strategy and planning. The engineer will own the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, ensure the team meets expectations, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success. Administrative functions include implementing management policies and procedures, and implementing Company and Customer Procedures while seeking improvements to work processes and business approaches. This role involves supervision of moderate/high sized teams and developing innovative technical solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

Typically, minimum of 12 years of Rotating (Gas turbine/Steam turbine, Compressor and Pump) Engineering experience in Petroleum-Chemical, Oil & Gas Industry, plus 3 years in other Mechanical equipment or packaged equipment.
Minimum of 3 years in a Mechanical leadership role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Emphasis on reciprocating compressor experience, with working knowledge of API 617, 614, 670 and 671.
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.

Nice To Haves

Relevant professional registration preferred.
Additional experience in the Power industry, Carbon Capture, or Arctic environment is valued.
Gas turbine and Steam turbine experience.
Knowledge of API, ANSI, NEMA, ASTM specifications.

Responsibilities

Update schedules and progress reports.
Generate budgets for new work.
Interface with Project Management and customers regularly.
Ensure team members adhere to generally accepted engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Support the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
Contribute to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Use local/global standards to support technical excellence.
Support checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Develop hour estimation, TIC estimates, deliverable requirements and personnel loading for the Rotating Engineering scope of the project.
Develop/check specifications, data sheets, technical bids, purchase orders, and resolve technical queries from vendors on various Compressor and Pump equipment.
Coordinate project requirements with other disciplines, project staff, and clients.
Maintain quality deliverables throughout the procurement of the equipment.
Support work share activities with overseas offices on Rotating Equipment deliverables.
Demonstrate commitment to HSE Management in a project environment.
