About The Position

As a Principal Risk Associate at Capital One, you will be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Principal Risk Associates at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. Principal Risk Associates at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or military experience
At least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience
At least 2 years of Project Management experience
At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

Responsibilities

Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required
Client Management - Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise
Document and understand internal and external reporting requirements; establish, enhance and execute the reporting process
Align processes with Capital One Requirements and frameworks by understanding expectations and adjusting processes as necessary.
Write and revise documents such as policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aides.
Write, contribute to, edit, and deliver presentations that aide in the design, development, refinement, and usage of risk methods
Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations such as Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Business Risk Offices, Operational Risk Sub-Steward organizations, Information Technology,Basel Program, Internal Audit, Regulator Relations, etc. to achieve objectives.
