About The Position

Responsible for contributing to the definition, development, and execution of the Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for various aspects of Retail, Supply Chain, Delivery, and Operational Program Support. Ensures the stores and Operational Areas understand, implement, and adhere to company policies and procedures. Monitors local operations, identifying patterns, trends, and areas for improvement, working with cross-Operational Area and Store Support stakeholders to ensure local consideration in broader initiatives and programs. Supports communication and training strategy with Operational Area Leaders, Store Leadership, Team Leadership and Team Members in SOP implementation and execution. This role will be expected to be onsite in stores or our Austin Office five days a week and must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to all destinations within the UK, Canada, and the United States.
  • Must be onsite in stores or Austin Office five days a week.
  • BA/BS degree and 6-8 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the core retail functions, including strategy, financial planning, assortment planning, promotional planning, and pricing.
  • Strong understanding of supplier, distributor, and logistics processes and key performance indicators.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of the WFM customer trends, buying behavior, and the evolving competitive landscape.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write concise, organized, and consistent process documents.
  • Uses expertise to determine solutions to complex problems with high impact to the business.
  • Anticipates need for process improvement, effectively implements solutions.
  • Comfortable representing the business as a subject matter expert on cross organizational projects.
  • Conveys and/or consults on issues of moderate to significant complexity.
  • Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions/procedures.
  • Regularly interacts with colleagues and third-party representatives up to the senior leadership level.
  • Expert understanding of standard project management methodologies and requirements.
  • Expert ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
  • Advanced ability to oversee and advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers.
  • Expert ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
  • Leverages vendor, supplier, customer, market, and industry understanding to drive Operational Program Support-related decisions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management, and workflow management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Retail Operations support within all international areas.
  • Responsible for the design, creation, and execution of new processes and SOPs to ensure optimal operational performance (ex. Including labor efficiency, shrink, etc.)
  • Responsible for the upkeep of current processes and SOPs to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Responsible for viability of Store Process including identifying gaps where process needs to be defined.
  • Responsible for operational goals in projects and/or programs where the strategy may not yet be defined.
  • Establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms.
  • Develops SOP training content for Store Process.
  • Provides strategic insight for processes to support initiatives launching in the UK and CAN.
  • Analyzes recurrent and systemic issues, performing root cause analyses and driving sustainable resolution strategies.
  • Monitors process health, KPI's, and outcomes for total UK and CAN market. Determines areas for continuous improvement.
  • Addresses and resolves issues raised by Team Members, Operational Areas, and other Store Support stakeholders.
  • Communicates, represents, and upholds the WFM core values and business philosophy to Team Members and vendor/supply partners.
  • Provides process and policy advice to Team Members and vendors/suppliers.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced Team Members.
  • Consults with and advises senior-level stakeholders and leaders, internally and externally.
