Moog is seeking an Operations Process Manager to take on a critical role in supporting the Commercial Aftermarket Team in East Aurora, NY. You will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, which includes developing and improving processes, managing staff, allocating resources, and ensuring quality control. You will strategically and tactically support the Assembly and Test area, as well as applying continuous improvement operational processes / technologies to existing or mature production programs. In this role, you’ll take ownership and drive operational metric results in a high volume, short turnaround time environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of operations or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct management experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills are required in the form of written, verbal, and presentation

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and process management for the on-shift A&T Technicians in the respective area
  • Manage and develop personnel to support growth potential
  • Track and Measure operational metrics of respective areas and provide pareto analysis
  • Provide leadership and facilitation within tiered management processes
  • Define and document manufacturing procedures, operation sequences, and work instructions
  • Oversee time standards, sales margin impact, operational improvements while driving process stability and reducing labor variation
  • Contribute to the evaluation, justification, and implementation of potential new manufacturing equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and materials to resolve process issues
  • Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operational areas
