A Day in the Life As a member of the Customer Quality Engineering Services (CQES) team, you will represent the voice of the customer in all quality-related activities for the Electrophysiology Therapies business, which includes but is not limited to Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services, Cardiac Pacing Therapies, and Defibrillation Solutions. In this role, you will develop and support field corrective action plans, drive leadership alignment on key quality decisions, and engage directly with field representatives and customers on quality topics to ensure their needs are met. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree AND minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
  • Product knowledge across Cardiac (ICD, CRT, IPG, ICM, Leads) devices and services
  • Clinical, field, and/or quality experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • The employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
  • U.S. work authorization sponsorship (H-1B, TN, J, etc.) is offered exclusively for Principal-level roles and above, where specialized expertise aligns with long-term business needs.
  • Roles below the Principal level require candidates to possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing Field Corrective Actions, product escalations, and CAPA processes
  • Experience with CRM systems, complaint handling tools, and document management systems is a plus
  • Understanding of cardiac products and their use in the clinical environment
  • Experience in risk management or reliability engineering
  • Experience with 21CFR820, ISO13485, and ISO14971

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of field corrective actions for the cardiac rhythm management business, including development of communication materials, leadership review, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment
  • Represent the voice of customer, field, and patient with internal teams for both pre- and post-market products, gaining leadership alignment on key quality decisions by providing clear and actionable recommendations
  • Engage with key customers and field teams on quality-related topics through ad hoc customer visits and meetings, communicating information in a clear and understandable manner to address concerns and questions
  • Consult with legal and warranty departments on product-related questions
  • Write product education materials and other Quality related communications to equip broader customer-facing teams (e.g., field representatives, technical services) with the knowledge and resources to effectively support discussions regarding quality from customers
  • Provide clinical-related product training opportunities to the broader quality organization to enhance understanding and communication of product quality
