About The Position

The Propeller Systems Engineering organization is seeking an experienced Hydromechanical Design Engineer to support both in-service propeller products and new product development. This role spans across concept, design, verification and validation, and field support activities across military and commercial platforms. The position involves collaboration within propellers engineering, manufacturing, and program office as well as occasional interactions with U.S. military customers, operators, maintainers, airframe manufacturers, and engine manufacturers. The ideal candidate brings strong hydromechanical components and systems design, analysis, and test expertise with hydraulic valves, actuators, flyweight governors, EHSV’s, solenoids, and other typical hydraulic system components (seals, orifices, pin plugs, hydraulic housings, etc.). This is an onsite position in Windsor Locks, CT. The Propeller System’s engineering organization in Windsor Locks is a small organization in comparison to many other product lines providing excellent opportunities for motivated engineers to work across multiple specialties supporting the full lifecycle of a product. In this role the hydromechanical design engineer will directly influence the product design, safety, reliability, and performance of propeller systems used across global military and commercial fleets.
