About The Position

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Principal Project Manager at our Newtown Square, PA location to manage large scale, high risk, strategic projects that span organizational boundaries including multiple business units and service partners/vendors. The role involves establishing 'Trusted Advisor' relationships with project executives and stakeholders, overseeing software installations and client acceptance, or serving as a trusted partner for a dedicated customer managing a long-term engagement. The position is accountable for customer satisfaction, managing schedules and deliverables, monitoring project progress from initiation to delivery, and ensuring overall customer success. It also involves customer engagement, budget monitoring, organizing inter-departmental activities, managing governance processes, and being accountable for cost management of projects within the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Information Technologies, Commerce or Business Administration or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Information Technologies, Commerce or Business Administration or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Microsoft Project (MPP)
  • SAP Methodologies: Activate, Design Thinking, and Scrum & Agile
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • PMBOK (Process guidelines, best practices)
  • SAP Technologies: FIORI Development and ABAP Programming
  • SAP S/4 HANA
  • PMI Certified Project Management Professional

Responsibilities

  • Establish "Trusted Advisor" relationships with project executives and all relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Oversee the installation and client acceptance of SAP and non-SAP software systems or system integration projects or serves as trusted partner for a dedicated customer managing a sustainable and long-term engagement holistically.
  • Accountable for customer satisfaction within the managed project, related schedules and deliverables or ensure overall customer success and satisfaction and is to be considered billable and funded via the existing delivery engagements.
  • Customer engagement and monitor budget / spending.
  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Organize the inter-departmental activities, ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
  • Establish trusted advisor status with strategic customers and actively manage executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders (LOB and T).
  • Manage the governance process aligned with all stakeholders (customer, SAP, and partners).
  • Accountable for cost management of all the projects within the portfolio.
