Our Parsons Seattle office is seeking to hire a highly experienced Principal Project Engineer to provide leadership in our hydrology and drainage practice supporting transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. In this role you will act as the primary interface with internal design teams and take the lead for all drainage aspects of the project with the client and our JV partners on both conventional and alternative delivery projects. You will be a key member of our Drainage Practice reporting into Senior Management. Our projects include new highway design, expansion, and rehabilitation, and rail and transit expansion projects. We expect you to be able to manage and oversee design of drainage elements relating to transportation projects, including hydrologic analysis, inlet design, storm sewer design, ditch and channel design, cross drain design, retention/detention basin design, water quality analysis, adequate outfall design and design of on and off-site drainage facilities. As a leader, you must be able to demonstrate prior experience in the preparation of plan documents and reports, such as stormwater plans and permit applications, drainage criteria documentation, and hydraulic reports.
