About The Position

This position will focus on Power and Controls pursuits, working close to Business Development team. The Proposal lead will drive priorities, proposals queue, deliverables and work together with Engineering, Business Development and Program Management to ensure timely and compliant proposals submission. In addition, the lead will work with other SBU leaders to ensure P&C standardization, best practices, tool development, process and drive process improvements. Accountable to manage cost, budget and risk for each proposal while providing status to different stakeholders. The lead works as ECS SME and is the POC for all ECS Sustainment and NPI initiatives. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense.
  • Experience in Siemens PLM tools – Teamcenter and NX
  • Experience leading multiple teams
  • Experience with schedules, engineering estimations, financials and managing medium to large projects
  • Print reading and working knowledge of industry standards including ASME/ANSY 14
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in manufacturing environment and processes
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written reports and verbal presentations.
  • Experience creating clear, concise, and well-structured technical documents, presentations, schedules, reports, proposals, including requirements, design details, and testing procedures.
  • PMP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Work together with other engineers to ensure performance and delivery for ECS pursuits.
  • Act as Proposal Lead to manage the process working collaboratively with other Engineering disciplines (Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Electrical), Programs, Production, Quality and Supply Chain
  • Lead weekly Project meeting with Integrated Product Team
  • Records, documents delay, changes in scope, and any other incidents that impact the scope of work or schedule to ensure smooth project operations, communicate and/or escalate appropriately.
  • Support formalization of critical customer and change board documentation/coordination.
  • Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
  • Meets program schedules and budgets and supports in the maintenance of the integrated master schedules for project(s).
  • Keep track pursuits and manage pursuits updates in salesforce.
  • Review Customer Requirement, Validation and Gates Preparation Schedule and manage IPMT meetings
  • Ensure pursuit deck is completed per Pursuit schedule
  • Responsible for coordination and overseeing of administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines while also liaising between project management and planning and line management.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Participates in the coordination, preparation and maintenance of project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.
