About The Position

As a Principal Project Engineer you will lead aspects of multiple project related tasks. We design these tasks to ensure that project planning, design, implementation, and completion meet the requirements of the commercial and contractual requirements defined within our APx Projects. The Principal Project Engineer leads efforts in planning/coordination and directs an element of a large project or several smaller projects or tasks. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and work a hybrid role based in Cranberry, PA.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Prior Westinghouse AP1000 required
  • 7+ years of experience in project engineering/management roles or equivalent roles of increased responsibilities with experience leading complex projects
  • Knowledge of technical requirement management
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry standards, rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Experience working within multiple disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience helpful
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification helpful

Responsibilities

  • Help develop engineering projects, ensuring agreement on goals and industry standards
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting innovation and best practices
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring delivery within scope
  • Partner with PM, and other project and technical functional disciplines
  • Promote process improvements and the use of new technologies to enhance project efficiency
  • Work with the external and internal team members to determine how to satisfy commercial and technical requirements
  • Lead delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
