About The Position

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company with 185,000 employees, is seeking a Principal Program Cost Controls Analyst. The company focuses on solving complex global problems and pushing the boundaries of science in aerospace and defense. Raytheon, a part of RTX, leverages over 100 years of engineering expertise to deliver solutions for national and allied defense. This position is within the Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSQ) finance team of Raytheon's Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) division, specifically supporting the Precision Fires & Maneuvers Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) and the TOW Missile program. The role requires an individual with drive and integrity, capable of building strong business relationships within the program, product line, and with customer teams. This is a fully remote position, but the successful candidate must reside in one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). U.S. citizenship is required for access to program/contract information.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experienced user of SAP (APEX and/or Prism), RTN PMX, or similar system
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite, particularly with Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and product level cost elements to help define and understand monthly and quarterly variances from budget and EAC positions
  • Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking to ensure adequate funding is available using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.
  • Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability
  • Support material forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP).
  • Ensure alignment in assumptions between Program Office, FP&A Finance, OSQ Function, and Factory (FOMs) to drive performance.
  • Develop analysis to support OSQ Monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & monthly reviews (PER/MBR/S&OP/S&OE)
