About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Principal Program Analyst to help support the JSP ETM-NG contract in Arlington, VA. This is a HYBRID position. The role involves preparing monthly financial reports, analyzing them against budgets and financial metrics, and proactively monitoring budgets at a detailed level. The analyst will lead monthly meetings with budget owners, collaborate on building forecasts aligned with financial targets, and prepare adjusting entries to ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations (CAS, FAR, DFARS). The position also requires preparing detailed labor reports for leaders, working with Oracle, OBIEE, and SC360 systems, and communicating with senior-level management. The Principal Program Analyst may also participate in special projects, ad hoc requests, and provide guidance, work leadership, or mentorship to less experienced analysts, potentially serving as a team or task lead.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 8+ year's experience
  • Experience with financial analysis software and tools - Oracle and OBIEE
  • Experience developing and managing budgets
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Understanding of key financial metrics and ratios
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently, with team members, and cross-functional teams
  • Capable of performing detail-oriented analysis within the context of larger program and mission objectives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze against budgets and financial metrics
  • Proactively monitor budgets at a detailed level and communicate findings and trends with your manager
  • Lead monthly meetings with budget owners under your purview
  • Collaborate with budget owners to build forecasts aligned with financial targets and operational needs
  • Prepare adjusting entries on a regular and ad hoc basis to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as government regulations such as CAS, FAR, and DFARS
  • Prepare detailed labor reports for select groups to equip leaders in the management of key financial metrics
  • Work with Oracle, OBIEE and SC360 systems
  • Communicate with senior-level management
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as requested
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced analysts and may have supervisory responsibilities
  • May serve as a mentor to less experienced analysts
  • May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)
