About The Position

Woodside Energy USA Services Inc. seeks a Principal Production Engineer at our Houston, TX location to support the Gulf of Mexico non-operated asset, primarily focusing on the Atlantis field. This role involves leading production engineering activities, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to business planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Additional support may be provided to other assets for well integrity, regulatory submissions, document control, and allocation processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field of study.
  • 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience in Nodal analysis, integrated field modeling, and virtual metering including Digital Oil Field applications including GAP, PROSPER and RESOLVE.
  • 3 years of experience in Production operations, monitoring, and optimization including artificial lift and short-term forecasting.
  • 3 years of experience in Flow assurance, scale prediction and control, and stimulation techniques.
  • 3 years of experience in New technology, smart well equipment, multilateral wells, and subsea systems.
  • 3 years of experience in Project economic evaluation and analysis, including connecting impact of operations to business performance.
  • 3 years of experience in Leading small multi-discipline teams, including collaboration across multiple disciplines technical and non-technical.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production engineering activities including well surveillance, production optimization, well interventions, and short-term forecasting.
  • Collaborate with subsurface, facilities, and project teams, as well as engagement with operators to influence technical decisions and maximize production.
  • Contribute to business planning, reserves evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing integrated production modeling tools and digital oil field applications.
  • Provide additional support to other assets for well integrity, regulatory submissions, document control, and allocation processes.
