Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have 5 years of leadership experience on a technical team, and at least 3 years of experience as an agile product owner for complex, cross - functional agile projects.
  • Expert understanding of software development life cycle models across both agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and possess a high level of emotional intelligence to ensure a successful partnership across all levels of the organization.
  • One or more related certifications such as Project Management Professions (PMP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agilist (SA) required.
  • Computer knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • The Principal Product Owner is responsible for the growth and leadership of Product Owners, project resources, and functional areas across the organization.
  • This role will provide leadership in an agile environment and work across multiple business and technical units to drive overall project and portfolio success.
  • To achieve this, they are expected to build effective relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization, strive for cross-departmental partnerships to foster innovation, and work to support the credit union’s strategic goals.
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating deliverables consistent with strategic goals and the prioritization of those goals within the credit union.
