The Impact you will have in this role: This role will be in the Enterprise Intelligence Organization in Enterprise Data & Corporate Technology. The Enterprise Intelligence team builds and manages Data Products for IT. The Product Owner (Data and Business Intelligence) will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the data products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business while leading a dynamic team of product owners. This position demands a blend of strategic insight, operational agility, and a deep commitment to delivering excellence in data management and business intelligence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in People management & Team Leadership
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Data Product Owner or similar role in data management and product development.
  • Ability to manage distributed teams with an employee/vendor mix
  • Demonstrate ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Ability to facilitate educational and working sessions with stakeholders and users
  • Experience with supporting Enterprise Tools.
  • Experience in managing technical projects and ensuring they align with organizational objectives.
  • Ability to drive innovation within the team and encourage creative problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and technologies.
  • Experience with SQL and Snowflake.
  • Ability to assess completeness of requirements and readiness of data products.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data management and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of data products from conception to implementation, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including Data Product Managers, Data Producers, and Data Consumers, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data products by implementing robust data quality measures and collaborating with Data Owners.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of data products, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize features based on business needs, and manage the intake process for new product requests.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all communications related to data products, including updates, issues, and enhancements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data products to ensure they meet evolving business needs and industry standards.
  • A working knowledge of financial services and related back-office and middle-office functions.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
