About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead development for our e-Clearance team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires strong decision-making skills, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality products aligned with business goals and customer needs. You will partner closely with product managers, development teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product vision into impactful software solutions. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of how to manage complex systems, excels in Agile methodologies, approaches problem-solving with reliability and initiative and has strong analytical skills. This is a hybrid position based out of our Downtown Phoenix corporate office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with business process and requirements analysis.
  • Strong understanding of complex systems
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum) and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design principles
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without formal authority.
  • Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog aligned with product vision and business objectives.
  • Understand customer operations and how our products can deliver value and help maximize operational efficiency.
  • Prioritize features and stories within sprints to maximize customer value.
  • Ensure backlog items are clearly defined, understood, and properly estimated.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, discovery sessions, and translation of requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Review and analyze product performance and present well researched ideas on how to improve customer experience
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure features meet customer needs and are delivered on schedule.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the product domain and a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with development, design, and QA teams to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and Agile best practices to drive product innovation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced customer experiences.
