About The Position

Role: Product Owner Location: Salt Lake City, UT OR Phoenix, AZ Duration: Long Term Experience/Technical Skills required: 8+ years of overall experience with at least 4+ years as a Product Owner. Strong experience in Banking / Financial Services domain. Working knowledge or project exposure to American Express (AmEx) processes, systems, or products. Strong understanding of Payments, Credit Cards, Merchant Services, Digital Banking, and transaction flows. Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodology and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps. Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and workflows. Excellent communication skills with ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams. Experience working with API-based integrations, digital platforms, and data-driven products. Strong analytical mindset with ability to prioritize and make product decisions. Preferred Skills: Prior experience working directly with American Express programs such as card servicing, fraud, rewards, billing, or customer onboarding. Exposure to Fraud Prevention, Dispute Management, Chargebacks, Authorization & Settlement workflows. Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to banking. Experience with Digital Transformation initiatives in BFSI. Certification such as CSPO / SAFe PO/PM is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
