About The Position

Walmart's Social Commerce team is building the creator commerce platform that will define the future of retail — a platform where creators are the connective tissue between Walmart's vast assortment and millions of engaged shoppers. We are investing aggressively in the infrastructure, tooling, and economics that make Walmart the most compelling destination for creators to build, grow, and monetize their audiences. The Creator Commerce Commercialization platform connects creators with the full spectrum of Walmart's demand ecosystem — 3P Marketplace sellers, national brand suppliers, Walmart's own marketing and merchandising teams — enabling any of these demand actors to discover the right creators, launch commission-based campaigns, and pay creators automatically upon sale. We serve thousands of creators and millions of demand actors today, and we are scaling rapidly toward a platform that powers billions in creator-attributed GMV. As a Principal Product Manager for Creator Commerce Commercialization, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the commercialization platform that sits at the center of this ecosystem — enabling multi-sided demand, and ensuring creators are discovered, activated, and rewarded at scale. You will partner with talented PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, and business leaders across Social Commerce, Marketplace, and Walmart Connect to build the infrastructure that makes creator-powered commerce a core, durable growth engine for Walmart.

Requirements

  • Deep experience building multi-sided marketplace or platform products — with demonstrated ability to grow supply (creators, sellers, publishers) and enable multiple categories of demand to transact at scale
  • Experience with affiliate marketing, creator monetization, or influencer commerce ecosystems — including commission structures, payout mechanics, sale attribution, and creator economics
  • Track record of building demand-side tooling — campaign management, audience targeting, or performance marketing products — with measurable impact on adoption, ROAS, or GMV
  • Understanding of the competitive creator commerce landscape — Amazon Creator Connections, TikTok Shop affiliate, Meta Collabs, ShopMy — and a clear POV on how Walmart wins
  • Technically fluent in AI/ML-driven matching, ranking, and recommendation systems — able to translate algorithmic capabilities into intuitive creator discovery and campaign optimization experiences. Can easily go back and forth between technical speak and creator speak.
  • Data-driven and customer-centric, with hands-on experience with agent driven product development, A/B experimentation, funnel analytics, and cohort analysis to guide decisions and improve platform health
  • Skilled in defining and executing multi-stakeholder product strategy — able to build a single platform that serves the distinct needs of sellers, suppliers, internal marketers, and merchant teams without compromising creator experience
  • Effective communicator and influencer — able to align diverse stakeholders across product, engineering, finance, legal, and business development around a shared platform vision
  • Strong cross-functional leader who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and can unify engineering, data science, design, marketing, and business teams around a common north star
  • Builder mindset - someone who doesn't just manage a roadmap but rolls up their sleeves to turn ambiguous concepts into tangible products. Highly entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven by a relentless bias for action.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 9 years’ experience in product management.
  • 11 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products
  • Supervisory experience
  • We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the end-to-end product vision and roadmap for the Creator Commerce Commercialization platform — scaling multiple demand actors (3P sellers, brand suppliers, Walmart Marketers, Walmart Merchants) to discover, activate, and compensate creators
  • Optimizing the campaign creation and management infrastructure that allows any demand actor to launch commission-based creator campaigns — with tools for creator discovery, targeted outreach, campaign briefing, sample coordination, and performance tracking
  • Designing the creator discovery and matching layer — leveraging AI/ML to surface the most relevant creators for a given campaign based on niche, audience, engagement, and past performance
  • Defining the automated commission and payout system between creators and demand actors that make Walmart the most attractive platform for creators to participate in — ensuring transparent, reliable, sale-attributed payouts that drive creator retention and engagement
  • Driving feature parity with and differentiation from Amazon Creator Connections, TikTok Shop affiliate, and similar programs — with a clear roadmap to become the preferred creator commerce platform for U.S. retail
  • Partnering with Seller Center, Supplier One, and Walmart Marketing platforms to embed creator campaign tooling directly into the workflows demand actors already use — reducing friction and accelerating adoption
  • Building the attribution and reporting infrastructure that gives demand actors clear visibility into creator-driven sales, ROAS, and campaign ROI — and gives creators real-time insight into their earnings and performance
  • Collaborating with Legal, Trust & Safety, and Brand teams to ensure the platform is safe, compliant, and trusted by creators, sellers, suppliers, and Walmart stakeholders alike
  • Defining and measuring the key metrics that matter — creator activation rate, campaign GMV, creator earnings, demand actor ROAS, and platform-level take rate — and using experimentation and data to continuously improve outcomes
  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow and retain top-tier creator talent on the platform, in partnership with the Creator Acquisition and Partnerships teams
