Role summary: As a Principal Product Manager, you will lead product strategy across multiple related products, driving organization-wide decisions through deep expertise and data-driven insights. About the team: The Walmart discovery experience team focuses on enhancing the top-of-funnel shopping journey by creating personalized discovery experiences across Homepage and Category pages. This team also develops the core presentation platform that supports the eCommerce app, enabling seamless user interactions. Leveraging data-driven insights and user research, the team drives innovation and strategic product roadmaps. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, they deliver scalable solutions that improve customer engagement and business outcomes. The team values leadership, design thinking, and advanced analytics to continuously evolve the product lifecycle and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in product strategy and roadmap development across multiple related products.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights.
  • Expertise in customer and problem understanding using design thinking, journey mapping, and user research.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, AI/ML inference, and applying advanced analytics to inform product decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership in product lifecycle management, including MVP rollout and scalable launch execution.
  • Ability to mentor product managers and elevate product management practices organization-wide.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management and driving strategic initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 9 years’ experience in product management.
  • 11 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
