Parsons is seeking a highly talented Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience, hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills. This role is crucial for leading projects, mentoring staff, and upholding the highest standards of electrical engineering practice. Requirements

  • 15+ Years in Electrical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Active NCEES Record Book and an ability to obtain multi-state licensure
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor staff
  • Patient, approachable, and committed to team development
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must work 3 days per week in Pasadena, CA office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consulting or design-build environment
  • Familiarity with electrical modeling and analysis software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Federal, Industrial, and Commercial Project Experience
  • Medium Voltage Distribution Experience in industrial electrical design and construction

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception through completion.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Serve as a technical resource for staff, encouraging questions and professional growth.
  • Ensure all designs and installations comply with project requirements, codes, and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
