Principal Platform Architect

Applied Information SciencesReston, VA

About The Position

As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, we help organizations accelerate their digital transformation by delivering modern cloud, infrastructure, security, and platform engineering solutions built on Microsoft technologies. We are seeking a Principal Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, modernization, and optimization of enterprise platforms across Microsoft Azure, GitHub, DevOps, and DevSecOps. This is a hands-on consulting role where you will architect, build, deploy, govern, and optimize enterprise solutions while serving as a trusted advisor to customers. You will work directly with client engineering, operations, and product teams to implement secure, scalable, and automated platforms, mentor technical teams, and lead complex transformation engagements from strategy through delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about building solutions as much as designing them. You are equally comfortable leading executive architecture workshops, writing Infrastructure-as-Code, implementing GitHub Actions, automating cloud deployments, building governance models, and solving complex platform engineering and DevSecOps challenges.
