About The Position

Windows IoT powers mission‑critical devices across industries—from retail POS and kiosks to healthcare, manufacturing, and edge solutions. We’re looking for a Principal Partner Enablement Manager to lead our Windows IoT product strategy and partner ecosystem, enabling OEMs, silicon partners, and internal product teams to build durable, secure, and scalable solutions on Windows IoT. We are part of Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD), the team that ensures Windows and Windows Server remain secure, reliable, and continuously improving for billions of devices globally. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Demonstrated success engaging silicon vendors and OEMs to deliver co-engineered solutions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience with IoT solutions or the IoT market—on Windows or other OS platforms (Linux, Android, RTOS, etc.)
  • Strategic leadership & execution: Proven ability to drive product strategy, make tradeoffs, and deliver durable outcomes across multi-team, multi-year investments.
  • Business & technical fluency: Strong business acumen (forecasting, pricing/packaging, investment cases) combined with expertise in Windows/edge or embedded scenarios and OEM/silicon alignment (x86/ARM).
  • Executive communication & collaboration: Skilled at creating clarity, building alignment, and energizing internal and external stakeholders; experience working with device programs (e.g., Teams Rooms, Xbox, Surface).
  • AI-forward mindset: Comfortable using AI tools for analysis, decision support, and operational efficiency, with evidence of embedding AI into partner/customer experiences or product workflows.
  • MBA or equivalent strategy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive IoT business strategy and growth: Define and execute IoT business plans aligned to company objectives, identify new opportunities, and manage financial forecasting with Business Planning and Finance.
  • Shape product lifecycle and roadmap: Own LTSC and edition strategy, partner on lifecycle management, and develop a multi-release roadmap informed by customer insights, competitive analysis, and AI-driven data.
  • Lead partner ecosystem engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with silicon vendors (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm), OEM partners, and internal stakeholders to align roadmaps and deliver joint success. Act as the Voice of Partner (VOP) throughout Engineering rhythm, you will coordinate with partners when they come across issues and areas for improvement in their products/services.
  • Enable sales and partner readiness: Create compelling value propositions, reference architectures, and enablement materials; leverage AI tools to accelerate content creation and improve pipeline development.
  • Drive innovation and AI adoption: Embed AI-driven insights into decision-making, lifecycle planning, and partner initiatives to keep Microsoft at the forefront of IoT and edge innovation.
