About The Position

MiniMed is seeking an experienced Principal Packaging Engineer to manage medical device packaging in new product introduction and sustaining programs. The engineer determines packaging specifications based on product characteristics, cost limitations, legal requirements, and protection needs. The role designs, develops, and tests packaging systems ranging from sterile barriers and primary packaging to pallet loads, while considering product identification, customer appeal, aesthetics, printing, and production techniques. Responsibilities may also include documentation management and coordination of good manufacturing practices (GMPs), supporting prototype line development and integrating packaging designs into semi-automated and fully automated manufacturing lines.
