About The Position

As the OCI Architect Lead, you are responsible for defining and overseeing the end-to-end architecture, security design, and technical strategy for a large-scale federal program operating across Non-Classified, IL5, and IL6 environments. This role leads the implementation of federal solutions while maintaining strict compliance with federal security requirements. The architect provides technical leadership to engineering teams, serves as the primary technical interface with Oracle and the government customer, and ensures solutions align with DevSecOps best practices, mission needs, and accreditation standards. This position requires deep experience supporting federal programs and designing secure, scalable cloud architectures.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to pass a federal background investigation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 16+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of technical leadership or architecture experience.
  • Extensive experience supporting large-scale defense programs.
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures that meet Non-Classified, IL5, and IL6 requirements.
  • Strong understanding of secure software development and federal compliance processes.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Professional Architect certification required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity frameworks and OWASP security models.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and compliance-driven development.
  • Experience designing AI/ML solutions operating on multi-modal datasets.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code development and automation (Terraform, Ansible).
  • CI/CD pipeline design and security scanning tool integration.
  • Programming/scripting: Python, Ansible, Bash, SQL, PL/SQL.
  • Experience with software emulation of hardware systems, including ARM processors.
  • Experience benchmarking performance across non-homogeneous platforms.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (QEMU, KVM).
  • Strong understanding of Linux and the Linux kernel across CPU architectures.
  • Experience designing embedded systems architectures.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in complex technical environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall system architecture and technical design across Non-Classified, IL5, and IL6 environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering and DevSecOps teams throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Ensure security architectures and implementations align with OWASP principles and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of source code vulnerability scanning technologies within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Serve as primary technical interface with Oracle, subcontractors, and government stakeholders, driving alignment and resolving technical issues.
  • Design solutions to emulate non-x64 platforms in a virtualized environment.
  • Design Hardware-in-the-Loop solutions to validate system performance benchmarks for AI workloads.
