About The Position

The Principal, Mergers & Acquisitions is a senior, hands-on transaction leader responsible for managing and executing WES's near-term acquisition activity and, as needed, divestitures. Reporting to the Chief Strategy, Planning and Learning Officer, the role works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to lead financial evaluation, modeling, transaction planning, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing of potential transactions. The Principal serves as the primary transaction lead once an opportunity moves from strategic and business development evaluation into an active deal process. The role advises senior management on valuation, deal economics, financial projections, transaction risks, structuring alternatives, and financial implications, and provides objective analysis of deal rationale, synergies, risks, and strategic fit. Working with internal stakeholders and external advisors, the Principal helps manage the transition from transaction execution through post-close integration. WES is a nonprofit social enterprise that supports the educational, economic, and social inclusion of immigrants, refugees, and international students. The position is remote in the United States; travel and in-person collaboration may be required based on business and transaction needs. This is an 18-month fixed-term role.
