About The Position

Design, develop, and upgrade Cloud Computing infrastructure platform(s) and write procedures for life cycle management. Collaborate with end customers on new requirements, bugs in existing platform and resolving issues as per SLA by collaborating with vendors and other teams. Perform root cause analysis for all outages and provide feedback or make changes to prevent outages. Work closely with ATS and Operations as needed for FFAs and for the investigation of field issues which may require reproduction in the lab for further analysis. Conduct design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security, and QA Design/Certification. Work primarily on new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects that are between inception and implementation. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Telecommunications Engineering or Electronic Engineering and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
  • Troubleshooting OpenStack components including nova, neutron, cinder, heat, keystone and glance
  • Utilizing Linux Operating Systems and troubleshooting issues on Linux cloud environments
  • Utilizing large Kubernetes clusters, helm charts, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Nagios
  • Utilizing Ansible playbooks and Python scripts for Infrastructure management
  • Utilizing Jenkins to deploy new infrastructure and upgrade software without downtime
  • Automating and updating firmware on large number of nodes
  • Building OpenStack stack helm deployments and platform deployment software such as Airship and its components
  • Deploying and troubleshooting large Ceph clusters
