About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer at MKS Andover, you will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, applications, and customers to develop and support vacuum valves. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by contributing to the design and development of advanced mechanical products used across multiple industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, or Masters of Science in Engineering.
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks)
  • Experience with manual and FEA stress analysis
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling
  • Experience with Vacuum Technology
  • Experience with mechanical fabrication techniques (machining, welding, brazing, sheet metal)
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Order Process
  • Technical experience in product development and manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Experience Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with high vacuum sealing technology
  • Magnetics Modeling
  • Knowledge of Vacuum sealing technologies and materials

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of product design engineers focused on vacuum valve development
  • Contribute to the specification development, analysis, design, 3D modeling, and creation of detailed engineering drawings for new products and assemblies.
  • Partner directly with customers and applications engineers to understand application requirements and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Use Analysis tools such as Solidworks Simulation, Comsol, or Ansys to perform stress and motion analysis
  • Work closely with engineering teams to prototype, test and improve product designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams throughout the product development, launch, and scale-up to volume production to ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable.
  • Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility validation, design, prototyping, testing, and production release.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards, performance expectations, and regulatory requirements through thorough testing, validation, and design verification processes.
