Job Description Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled, strategic and innovative Principal Product Marketing Manager to not only oversee the development, management, and lifecycle success of a product or group of products but develop the strategic direction for key product categories to grow revenue and margin improvement. As the product owner, you will be responsible for driving the product's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, and delivering measurable business outcomes. This role requires a strong focus on product lifecycle management, which includes multi-year planning, feature optimization, profitability analysis, and product evolution. The successful candidate will leverage market insights, customer feedback, and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions that maximize customer value and financial performance. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, sales, and other teams to ensure the success of the product portfolio. The ideal candidate will operate as a strategic thought leader, bringing a transformational mindset to how AT&T identifies and monetizes accessory categories. This leader will challenge traditional operating models, uncover new growth vectors, and position accessories as a key lever in customer experience and lifetime value. You will also act as a key contributor to AT&T's marketing strategy, influencing product development, positioning, and go-to-market planning while mentoring less experienced professionals. Key Roles and Responsibilities: In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the following duties emphasize product management and lifecycle management: Product Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the entire lifecycle of assigned products, from concept and launch to growth, maturity, and eventual retirement. Make critical lifecycle decisions, such as introducing new features, repositioning products, and determining end-of-life strategies. Design and execute customer migration or transition plans for product sunsets to minimize disruption and retain customer satisfaction. Strategic Product Planning: Conduct multi-year product planning to align with corporate goals and evolving market conditions. Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that prioritize customer needs, market opportunities, and financial objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on roadmap priorities and execution timelines. Transformation & Innovation: Reimagine vendor partnerships from transactional to strategic, co-creation relationships, including long term innovations, AT&T first/only offerings. Architect and implement next generation commercial models like consignment and risk-sharing structures. Identify differentiated, high margin products as a strategic lever for margin expansion, differentiation and customer loyalty Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including revenue, adoption rates, customer satisfaction, and cost-to-serve. Perform regular health checks on product performance, identify areas for optimization, and growth. Use data analytics and financial modeling to inform product decisions and maximize profitability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and execution. Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for assigned products, ensuring cross-functional alignment and resolving conflicts. Drive go-to-market strategies in collaboration with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies and market trends. Recommend process improvements and modern tools for more effective product management and lifecycle execution. Stakeholder Communication and Leadership: Provide regular product updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Act as a mentor and subject-matter expert within the team, guiding less experienced professionals. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred but not required. Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related field is required. Background in both OEM and retailer environments Demonstrated expertise in managing products through their entire lifecycle, including launches, optimizations, and end-of-life planning. Experience working in cross-functional teams with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is required.
