We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This role focuses on collaborating closely with design and supporting design for manufacturing (DFM) efforts, encompassing process development, work instruction creation, lean manufacturing, and tooling development. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies.
  • US Citizen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead the introduction of new products from prototype design to full-scale production for medium to large scope programs.
  • Influence integrated project teams and larger teams.
  • Design assembly tooling and fixtures using CAD software.
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct process flow and capacity analyses to ensure optimal production rates.
  • Develop process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
  • Collaborate with design engineering to refine product designs for manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead new product process improvement initiatives.
