  • Advanced expertise in DB2 for z/OS (complex SQL tuning, performance engineering)
  • Advanced expertise in CICS TS and/or IMS TM transaction processing
  • Advanced expertise in JCL, PROCs, and enterprise batch processing frameworks
  • Strong experience across trading and post-trade processing systems
  • Strong experience across investment accounting and fund administration platforms

  • Troubleshoot and resolve NAV breaks and accounting discrepancies within strict reporting deadlines.
  • Design and optimize DB2 data models for high-volume trade, position, and pricing datasets, and historical valuation and reporting data.
  • Perform advanced performance engineering, including EXPLAIN plan analysis, access path tuning, and index strategy optimization.
  • Address production challenges including locking issues, batch overruns, and data skew.
  • Develop scalable batch processing solutions with parallel execution capabilities for EOD/EOM cycles.
  • Optimize COBOL programs for performance, focusing on CPU utilization, I/O efficiency, and consistent processing windows.
  • Build and maintain integration layers using IBM MQ for trade and pricing feeds, market data ingestion, and downstream accounting and reporting systems.
