About The Position

At RTX, the world largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference solving the world’s most complex problems. With our three market leading businesses, world-class operations and investments in research and development, we offer capabilities and opportunity no one else can. Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world. Raytheon brings the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. We deliver solutions that help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression, creating a safer, more secure world. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Raytheon is seeking a Principal Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Software Engineer to join the Mission Applied Science & Technology (MAST) team. The MAST directorate is an energetic multi-disciplinary team of about 60 engineers working collaboratively with internal and external customers to develop novel solutions for data and emerging technology applications. Our team pushes the boundaries of innovation and creativity to establish next-generation mission solutions from system-level up to campaign-level. As an M&S Software Engineer, you will develop cutting-edge simulation capabilities that will be used to assess system performance across a range of complex mission scenarios. The ideal candidate has experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) activities and understands the trade-offs required to achieve the right level of fidelity when modeling large scale, many-on-many missions. The role requires the individual to be proficient in distributed simulation technologies and well-versed in coding practices and software integration. This role requires collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team that is distributed across time zones. This role may require some travel to other US Raytheon sites. This role’s work responsibilities will be done primarily onsite in Sterling, VA, Richardson, TX, or McKinney, TX.
