About The Position

Principal Linux & Windows System Administrators, based in El Segundo, CA, infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Experience with RHEL Server setup, RHEL system security management, perform data backup and restore.
  • Experience Windows Desktop Operating System (OS) and Windows Server OS
  • Experience with Net App

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Familiarity with Ansible and system automation
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience with VMware administration including ESXi hypervisors and VSphere management interface.
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer objects administration, Group Policy).
  • Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware.
  • Experience with backup technologies such as tape libraries and backup software (NetBackup or the like).
  • Experience with an IT incident/service request system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment, using troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues, including hardware and OS integration, while adapting to evolving challenges as part of a team.
  • Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Develop solutions and documentation about a variety of technical problems.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification)
  • Participate in team collaboration, Manage virtualized environments
