Principal IT Trainer - eLearning Creation and Development
About The Position
The Principal IT Trainer develops and maintains high-quality digital learning content that supports organizational training initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert in eLearning development tools, primarily Camtasia and Articulate Storyline, transforming video content into engaging, self-paced learning experiences. Provides leadership in the translation of system build and future state workflows into documented curriculum and delivery formats for blended learning approach. Develops process and plan for eLearning program in its entirety. Delivers training to groups of end users or provides site support in offices as needed. Credentials all trainers who will deliver the end user classroom training.
Requirements
- Training Needs Analysis (Expert)
- Adult Learning Theory (Expert)
- Instructional Design (Expert)
- Applications System Design (Advanced)
- 5 years of experience with Camtasia video editing and production
- 5 years of experience with Articulate 360, particularly Storyline (Rise experience preferred)
- Experience developing self-paced eLearning and guided practice content
- LMS content packaging, publishing, and maintenance experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and high-volume workloads while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and SMEs
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting learning technology transitions
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

Responsibilities
- Delivers orientation, on-boarding, and career ladder pathway training for staff.
- Administers classroom evaluations and provides course updates to management.
- Builds out and maintains training environments. Proficient in software used to create or modify eLearnings.
- Manages classroom training, materials and learners.
- Mentors other trainers as needed in the department, evaluating knowledge levels and providing train-the-trainer sessions.
- Provides leadership and consultation as needed for special projects that require knowledge of computerized applications or processes that affect patient care and/or new implementation.
