As Principal, IT Business System Analysis supporting MTOQRA Platforms Business Technology, you will be for acting as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams for business needs requiring IT based solutions and will work closely and in partnership with the Regulatory Affairs business stakeholders, internal and external IT service providers, and governance teams to ensure that the global platforms are aligned with the business needs, delivered within the agreed timelines, and compliant with Alcon's policies and standards and contribute to creating business value, finding opportunities for value extraction from the global platforms, and implement methods to measure & analyze the value generated by these platforms, specifics include: Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives, making recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology, researching business requirements and documenting the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices), and translating business requirements into application requirements. Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g., Business Technology Partner IT Leadership and Teams, Global Application Business Owners, Global Business Process Owners, IT Infrastructure and Support Teams, External Application Vendors, etc.) to ensure clear communications and effective and compliant solutions. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to drive a partnership model and global application governance. Foster business-oriented and digital-ready culture, mindsets, and practices. Build a strong understanding of business knowledge and customer experience. Provide proven experience supporting global applications with a desire for simplification and standardization, detailed process analysis and design, system architecture, technology standard adoption, and computer system validation (CSV)/computer software assurance (CSA) in a GxP environment. Able to conceptualize and articulate solutions within the existing framework of functionality and improve/innovate solutions where necessary to support future needs of the business. Apply knowledge of Agile, DevOps and Waterfall methodologies with adherence to these methodologies including the use of collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc. Experience in with Service NOW for application change control and incident management. Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex application requirements and data into actionable business insights. Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic, a team player. Basic project management skills may be required at times, including scheduling meetings, capturing meeting notes and status updates, and managing project timelines and financials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in application operations and implementation support within a global environment.
  • Strong understanding of key Regulatory Affairs business processes, including Submission, Registration Impact Assessment, Promotional & Advertising Review, Medical Legal Review, and Regulatory Intelligence, along with related application implementation methodologies.
  • Proficient in Business Analytics and Generative AI (GenAI) technologies.
  • PMP-certified (Project Management Professional).
  • Technical expertise in Veeva Promo Mats and Analytics Visualization Solutions.

Responsibilities
