As a Sr. Principal, IT Business Systems Analysis supporting Alcon's Supply Chain and Warehouse function, you will be trusted with shaping the strategic direction of IT systems design and implementation, ensuring solutions are effective, scalable, and innovative. In this role, a typical day will include: Leading the design and execution of high-impact IT systems projects, ensuring alignment with business strategies Working closely with senior leadership to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications Mentoring and guiding a team of business analysts, fostering a collaborative environment Researching and recommending new technologies and methodologies to improve system design and efficiency Ensuring all IT systems meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget Influencing major business systems design decisions impacting organizational efficiency and long-term goals Playing a key role in defining the technical direction for IT systems and projects across the organization, making strategic decisions regarding IT system architecture, technology adoption, and project direction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Proven expertise in Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation, with at least 2 years on Manhattan Active WMS.
  • Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Background in supply chain practices and application implementation standards
  • Design and configure Manhattan Active WMS modules, including inbound/outbound operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Integrate Manhattan Active WMS with ERP systems (SAP ECC/S4), 3PL providers, and automation platforms using APIs and extension packs.
  • Optimize workflows for system-directed putaway, picking, replenishment, value added services and process automation.
  • Lead or support deployment projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, logistics) and managing change effectively.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support for Manhattan Active WMS functionalities.
  • Ensure compliance with CSV, GxP, and SOX requirements throughout implementation and support.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting Manhattan Active WMS in a global environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ProActive development, REST APIs, JSON, and SCI reporting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, continuous updates, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Experience integrating warehouse automation systems (Knapp, AutoStore, Geek+) and WES/robotics solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate solutions aligned with business needs and future scalability

  • Manhattan Active certification strongly preferred.
