As a Principal, IT Business Systems Analysis supporting Alcon's Supply Chain and Warehouse function, you will be trusted with shaping the strategic direction of IT systems design and implementation, ensuring solutions are effective, scalable, and innovative. In this role, a typical day will include: Leading the design and execution of high-impact IT systems projects, ensuring alignment with business strategies Working closely with senior leadership to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications Mentoring and guiding a team of business analysts, fostering a collaborative environment Researching and recommending new technologies and methodologies to improve system design and efficiency Ensuring all IT systems meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget Influencing major business systems design decisions impacting organizational efficiency and long-term goals Playing a key role in defining the technical direction for IT systems and projects across the organization, making strategic decisions regarding IT system architecture, technology adoption, and project direction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Prior experience in Warehouse Management Systems, logistics or supply chain applications, operational or implementation support in an international environment or business consultancy
  • Proven experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System (WMS) modules, including inbound/outbound operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, and integrations with ERP and other supply chain systems.
  • Ability to configure, customize, and optimize Manhattan Active WMS to meet business requirements, including process automation, workflow setup, and system-directed putaway and replenishment.
  • Experience integrating Manhattan Active WMS with third-party logistics providers, SAP ECC, and other enterprise applications using APIs and extension packs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy within Manhattan Active WMS.
  • Ability to train end-users and super users on Manhattan Active WMS functionalities, provide ongoing support, and document best practices.
  • Experience with continuous software updates, cloud-native architecture, and leveraging AI-driven features for real-time inventory visibility and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support successful Manhattan Active WMS deployment projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, IT, logistics) and managing change effectively.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall methodologies as applied to Manhattan Active WMS projects.
  • Proven Experience leading/supporting processes with desire for simplification and standardization, detailed process analysis and design, system architecture, technology standards, CSV, GXP and SOX requirements, knowledge of Supply Chain practices or Application implementation practices and procedures
  • Able to conceptualize and articulate a solution within the existing framework of functionality and future needs of the business

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interfacing third party logistic providers (3PL) warehouse management / warehouse control systems with SAP ECC is an advantage
  • Experience in implementing and supporting warehouse automation capabilities (Knapp, Auto Store, Geek+) is preferred
