About The Position

SAIC seeks an experienced Principal Integration Engineer to support modernization of the space launch ranges, meet mission requirements, provide range capabilities, and support the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The program performs system modernization and digital transformation projects to accelerate the space launch cadence and enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is located in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Principal Integration Engineer defines discrete systems and the processes that link complex systems and components with software applications so they operate as a coordinated whole. The role draws on several engineering and technology disciplines, including systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, and interface protocols. It assists with transition planning and requirements development, and may develop architecture baselines. The engineer leads integration and migration planning, serves as an architecture-design authority and advocate for internal and external clients, and supports process improvement and systems analysis for missions and systems requirements. The role also leads site surveys to assess existing systems, gather project requirements, and align stakeholders with project goals. It oversees installation and testing activities, including planning reviews, engineering checkouts, functional testing, and walkdowns to verify system integrity and interface functionality. The engineer provides technical insight and recommendations to address integration challenges and support mission needs.
