Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. As Principal Information Systems Project Manager, you will report functionally to the SDS Engineering Functional Homeroom. You will be expected to oversee large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion that span across functional organizations. You will implement strategic project management practices, engage with senior leadership, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements. In addition to leading and directing project teams, you will prepare project execution plans and identify appropriate technical and business resources. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama and support the Sentinel Program.

Requirements

5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 year with PhD an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Must have knowledge/experience of Systems Engineering “V” Life Cycle, or Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint).
Must be knowledgeable in Atlassian Suite (i.e. Jira and Confluence).
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
Minimum 2 years of experience in managing EVMS projects.
Must have experience with project planning, scheduling and cost performance
Experience with integrated team including but not exclusive to the program manager, functional managers, and customers.
Experience in communicating with various levels of leadership.
Experience leading and managing multiple concurrent and complex project assignments.

Experience as a Control Account Manager or Program Manager with robust Full Criteria Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience (labor, material, Subs, IWOs)
Experience with risk and opportunity management

Create, review, and finalize the project Statement of Work (SOW).
Assist the project management leadership team in assessing, documenting, and tracking of all new assigned project requirements.
Prepare project execution plans and identify the appropriate technical and business resources required.
Participate proactively in developing and maintaining standards, tools, and best practices.
Lead and direct the assigned project team to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
Adopt a positive attitude about Agile processes, ensure tasks are flowing from one phase to the next, and facilitate the basics of the process (i.e. transparency, project information is current, impediments are being eliminated).
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customers life-cycles, standards, and supporting processes and practices.
