About The Position

Clifton is currently searching for a full time, permanent Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to join us in either our Edmonton, or Calgary office locations. As a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist, you will play an important role in business development, client service, technical oversight, and team development. You will help strengthen Clifton’s hydrogeology footprint across Alberta while working closely with teams serving mining, energy, industrial, municipal, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. This is a senior opportunity for an established professional who enjoys developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping grow a strong hydrogeology team within a multidisciplinary consulting environment. Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a professional member with APEGA.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in hydrogeology, groundwater consulting, or related water sciences fields.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and winning work.
  • Strong understanding of consulting project delivery and client service.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
  • Commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships within Alberta mining, energy, municipal, industrial, agricultural, environmental, or regulatory sectors considered a strong asset.
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: groundwater supply development, hydrogeological investigations, mine water management, dewatering, aquifer testing, groundwater modelling, regulatory approvals and licensing, environmental hydrogeology.
