About The Position

The Principal HL7 Integration Engineer leads the technical work for HL7 integration across FUJIFILM Synapse MI products, from installation, configuration, and validation through go-live. The role serves as the primary technical resource for MI HL7 implementation projects, designing end-to-end inbound, outbound, and bidirectional architectures and delivering enterprise-level projects such as data migrations, interface integrations, and data conversions. The engineer integrates Synapse products with third-party healthcare information systems and develops reusable integration patterns and secure communications. The position works closely with project management and interacts with sales, technical support, field service, customers, vendors, and other internal groups. It requires expert knowledge of medical informatics, IT infrastructure, medical imaging, and clinical workflows, along with strong communication, problem-solving, project leadership, and customer service skills. The engineer leads projects independently, mentors and trains peers, participates in knowledge transfer and cross-functional work, and maintains and develops technical documentation, including solution designs, best practices, specifications, test plans, and validation procedures. The role also supports pre-sale discussions, peer review, process improvements, and subject-matter expertise. The position requires adherence to company quality and regulatory policies, including applicable U.S. FDA medical-device regulations, ISO 13485 requirements, and other applicable laws and standards. Occasional travel of up to 25% may be required. The posting identifies the role as remote.
