Given our continued growth, we have immediate roles available for a highly motivated Principal Hardware Lead to join our Transition to Production, Production Support and Sustainment team as a Lead, supporting one of our Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) Product Lines. Our AC&S Product Line is part of BAE Systems C4ISR Division, which provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. The AC&S product line has annual revenue exceeding $500m, operating across multiple sites with almost 1000 employees across the globe. In this role, you will have a chance to grow your skills supporting the continued production and sustainment of various complex microwave modules, submodules, circuit card assemblies, and subsystems utilized across multiple projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with cutting-edge hardware fielded on the most advanced Military Platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years’ experience working on RF/Microwave and digital products preferably in the defense industry
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems
  • Proven ability to perform triage
  • Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
  • Experience supporting a production environment
  • Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure - Own the Design
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in RF/Microwave subsystem, module and circuit design and development
  • Experience gathering and analyzing test data to assess trends and develop yield improvement plans

Responsibilities

  • Supporting product yield and affordability improvements
  • Supporting production issues in assembly, test/debug, quality
  • Managing overall workload of the HW team supporting production
  • Delegating tasking to less experienced engineers and technicians
  • Technical management of subcontractors
  • Working with hardware suppliers
