About The Position

As a Principal H/W Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the Design of electronic hardware and software that meet our customers’ quality and delivery requirements. The main markets we serve are high-speed networking, telecommunications, video processing, automotive, medical, consumer, mil/aero, and satellite communications.

Requirements

10+ years of experience
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Expert user of one or more of the following tools: Siemens DxDesigner (preferred), Altium and Xpedition-DxDesigner.
Application of formal project management and system engineering methodologies to development of complex, high performance electronics systems.

Nice To Haves

Analog/RF experience is a plus.
BLE and/or WiFi experience a plus.
Work history in aerospace/defense market a plus.

Responsibilities

Apply independence and creativity to drive project design scope and deliverables.
Develop Functional Design Specifications.
Circuit design: Digital, Analog, and Power.
PCIe, DDR, Microprocessor, DSP, etc.
I2C, SPI, PCIe, DDR3+, Ethernet, USB, CSI, DSI, etc.
Schematic Capture and Layout Review/Guidance/Management.
Pre&Post Signal and Power Integrity analysis (optional).
FPGA and CPLD design (Verilog, VHDL).
FPGA test benches and verification (ModelSim, Xilinx, Altera, etc.).
Develop test plans/methods to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met.
Prototype bring up and system integration.
Working knowledge of EMC/CE/UL compliance requirements.
Software and Firmware development.
